Mothers & Daughters
Just wondering about other mothers & daughters today... How's your relationship? Close, strained, codependent? Just asking, that's all! Being sick, I have had a lot of time to just rest(thanks to my adoring hubby!) I find that when my body gets still, often my mind does not. So, today, I want to know about you... how's your relationship? with your mothers? with your daugthers? any wisdom you have to offer?

I discovered your blog over on BlogFrog. The heading of this post caught my attention. So I had to read the full post and reply.
I have no relationship with my mother. It was strained for my entire life, then a few years ago I decided to stop making myself miserable trying to change her from being an unloving, manipluative mother. I realized that she was just mentally defective and nothing I was doing was going to change that...so I let go of the hope of having a loving mom like others have.
After letting go I have found peace in my life. I have a wonderful relatuonship with my daughters so I get to have a great mother-daughter relationship....just from the mother side of the equation.
